ASD Dama
Mori Draughts Club is situated in the village of Mori,
in the South of Trentino,
not far from the river Adige and from the marvellous Lake
Garda.
Born in 1968 as Circolo Damistico Moriano, the draughts
club organized many Italian Championships for youth and not only that,
the world championships for juniors in 1987 and, above all, the Olympiad
in 1992, which brought to Mori the best draughts players in
the world.
Nowadays ASD Dama Mori organizes competitions at various levels. The
main competition is the Coppa Cittą di Mori which, in 2009, will
reach the 35th edition. This is a very important tournament
both in the Italian and in the International Draughts Calendar.
ASD Dama Mori is in charge of Riccardo Agosti, Paolo Modena is the
vice-president, the other counsellors are Diego Tranquillini,
Marco Veronesi (delegate of Trentino in FID), Sergio Tita and Enrico
Paniz.
